1 Year After World Cup, NFF Still Owes Designer For Ceremonial Outfit

Nigerian Fashion designer, Esimaje Awani, CEO of GT Stitches, who made the Super Eagles’ ceremonial 2018 World Cup outfits ahead of the tournament in Russia, has called out the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for not paying for his services.

Recall that the outfit attracted several commendations from fans and foreign correspondence on social media.

However, the designer who took to his Instagram page to call out the football governing body said all attempt made to reach the NFF president Amanju Pinnick has been rendered fruitless.

“NFF refused to pay for ceremonial outfit almost one year after World Cup!! This can only happen in Nigeria,” his tweet read.

“My brother Amanju Pinnick has stopped picking my calls because of this money. Someone at the office told me that court is my only option, what a shame!!.”
