12 Sokoto Assembly Members Pledge Loyalty To Buhari

Contrary to expectations that majority of the 30-member Sokoto State House of Assembly would follow Governor Aminu Tambuwal to the Peoples Democratic Party, 12 of them have declared their loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We reiterate our commitment and loyalty to the APC led government under President Muhammadu Buhari,” the lawmakers said in the statement.

The lawmakers that stayed in the APC are: Murtala Bello, Abdullahi Garba, Sani Yakubu, and Aminu Bodai.

Others include Abdullahi Zakari, Malami Muhammad, Yusuf Muhammad, Muhammad Bashir, Kabiru Ibrahim, Aminu Achida, Sa’idu Ibrahim and Bature Binji.
