2018 Christian Pilgrimage Set To Commence May

Rev. Tor Uja, Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), says the Commission will commence the 2018 Christian pilgrimage exercise to Israel on May 7, 2018.

The date was disclosed on Monday during a meeting held at NCPC’s headquarters with States Pilgrimage Leaders, in Abuja.

Uja said “No Nigerian Pilgrim needs to abscond in Israel’’ as the Commission would synergize with relevant security agencies to checkmate absconders during the pilgrimage in the Holy Land.

“All Pilgrims that emerge from Nigeria should reflect our values as a people.

“We have come to a point where we have something to show the world,’’ he said.

The NCPC boss stressed the fact that pilgrimage should not just be a mere visit to the holy land but a showcase of spirituality.

Uja appreciated the federal government and its officials for sponsoring and supporting Christian pilgrimage over the years, adding that the next pilgrimage leaders meeting would kick start from June 26 to June 29, at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Capital.
