2018 W/Cup: Super Eagles Arrive Russia

The Nigeria national team, the Super Eagles and team officials have finally arrived Russia for the 2018 World Cup.

The coach Gernot Rohr side had camped at the Avita Resort in Bad Tatzmanndsdorf, Austria, in a week-long training programme for this year’s World Cup.

While in Austria, the team faced Czech Republic in a friendly which they lost 1-0.

The three-time African Nations Cup champions departed from Austria earlier on Thursday and arrive the Mineralnye Vody International Airport at about 9p.m Nigerian time, in dazzling native attire, that has again, captured world’s attention.

Super Eagles will be seeking its first win in their opening game of the World Cup in 20 years as they take on Croatia in their first game on Saturday, June 16, before other group games against Iceland on June, 22 and finally Argentina on June 26.

Rohr and his men are expected to resume training on Wednesday, June 13.

This is Nigeria’s sixth appearance at the World Cup since making a debut show at the USA 1994.
