The EFCC accused the Imo West senator of embezzling N2.9 billion in public funds with the connivance of six other individuals and companies, reports Premium Times.

Meanwhile, at the press conference where Okorocha unveiled ‘The New Nigeria’ agenda to drive his presidential campaign, the senator said his wealth was as a result of hardwork and years of sacrifices.

“…what gave me my real money was real estate. In the 190s, we were the people that brought Lagos (Nigeria’s former capital) back to Abuja. So, my wealth is clean and clear,” the senator had said.
