2023 Presidency: Show Me What You’ve Done To Unite Nigeria, Okorocha Challenges Aspirants

Senator Rochas Okorocha has openly declared his intention to run for the office of the president of Nigeria in the 2023 elections.

The former Imo State governor and lawmaker representing Imo West senatorial district made the declaration at a press conference held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, on Monday.

At the conference, Okorocha unveiled ‘The New Nigeria’ agenda that will serve as a road map for his 2023 presidential campaign.

The former governor said he is on an assignment to unite the country and that evidence of his commitment to the task are visible all over the country.

He challenged other politicians who have declared interest in the office to show what they’ve done to bring the country together.

“The mood of our nation today calls for a leader in 2023 that can unite this country and give everybody sense of belonging.

“There’s no part of this country or zone where you will not see my signature. I challenge all those contesting with me to show this country what they have done in uniting this country. If I say I will unite this country, believe me I will do so because I have done that in the past.

“The mood of the nation also suggests that it needs a compassionate leader who can listen to the widow, the poor and the needy and show concern.”

“And I challenge all those coming to contest with me to show what they have done to unite this country,” he said.

THE WHISTLER reported that Okorocha had last week informed his colleagues at the Senate of his presidential ambition.

The current attempt makes it the fourth time the two-time former governor would be taking a shot at the presidency over the last 19 years.
