21 Students, 3 Teachers Die In Kano Auto Crash

There was great grief in Bauchi state on Tuesday following a terrible auto crash that left no fewer than 21 students and 3 teachers of Government Day Junior Secondary School, Misau, dead.

NAN reports that the victims died in the auto crash that occurred at about 11 am near Tsaida village in Gaya local government area, on their way from an excursion, along Bauchi-Kano road, Kano State.

The bus they boarded was said to have had a collision with a trailer, leading to the death of 11 male and 10 female students, in addition to three of their teachers.

Alhaji Masiru Darazo, who is a relative to one of the deceased students, in his speech to NAN said ‘’ these are young men whom we were looking up to as leaders of tomorrow’’, as he described their death as a huge loss with so much emotions in his words.

Funeral prayer for the deceased was held in Misau, with so much weeping by parents and relations

President Muhammadu Buhari, who has condoled with the government of Bauchi over the tragic incident, prayed for Allah to accept their souls.
