A 22-year-old man, Damilola Adeyemo has bagged a two-year jail term after the Makurdi Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) secured his conviction on Tuesday.
In a statement posted on the facebook page of the EFCC, the anti-graft agency said Adeyemo was prosecuted before Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon of the Federal High Court sitting in Makurdi, Benue State.
The statement said Adeyemo was arraigned on a two count charge for identity fraud and for fraud in the sum of N230,000, which he used part of it in the acquisition of an iPhone 7.
