24hrs After Kola, Kazzim’s Defection, 2 More APC Reps Dump Party

Barely 24 hours after two All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Reps members defected from the ruling party, two more federal lawmakers of the APC have dumped the party on Thursday.

THE WHISTLER recalls that Rep. Babatubde Kolawale, representing Akoko North East/West Federal Constituency in Ondo, defected from the ruling party to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday.

Rep. Mukaila Kazzim, representing Abeokuta North/Obafemi-Owode/ Odeda Federal Constituency in Ogun, had also resigned from the APC yesterday but did not mention the political party he was leaving to.

Barely a day after their exit from the ruling party, Reps Ahmed Abu (Niger State) and Stephen Olemija (Ondo State) have respectively defected to the Social Democratic Party and the Action Alliance.

Their defection notice was read on the floor of the lower legislative chamber by Speaker of the House, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, during Thursday’s plenary.
