Tale Of A Beautiful Ugly Chair . It’s EXTREMELY PERSONAL #sarsmustend #endswat . Though I wear my smile and sit pretty on this beautiful but ugly wheels, anytime I’m taken through the ICM route It all flashes over again, as it happened right on that ground, then it wasn't named ICM. . How an Innocent lady (Me) going home, siting behind her rider (Bike) and what happened next, was a sudden silence, I fell on the floor from a moving bike, covered with blood and motionless, lo and Behold, It was a GUN SHOT, Don’t ask from who? You KNOW THEM. . The police men shot bullets to the air cos they were pursuing another, and I got hit. I wasn’t treated nor helped, a passerby helped me and I ended at LUTH, i was moved me to UCH Ibadan. According to the surgeon at UCH who is to remove the bullet in my lungs said, "that particular surgery rate, deaths is 99/1, and even if I survived, I’ll be a vegetable". cos the bullet moved from my broken ribs and lodged in my lungs. . I told them, I’ll be among the 1% who survived and won’t be a vegetable, my mum claimed that proclamation with me and yes it came to light. . I survived, I’m not a Vegetable But I’m not whole either. I became lame, I couldn’t move, my families, pastor & friends tried their best, I even went to India for another round of surgery, . Hmmm, And days turned into weeks, weeks into months, months into years with series of therapies, nothing happened. . My whole life took a new turn as I couldn’t believe The New Me can ever exist ever. . Here I am Today, It’s BEEN 12Years I’ve been tied to this wheelchair and the wheels became my legs. As beautiful as they look, they became ugly as till now I can’t Move without them. . 12years of Surviving SARS, 12years of surviving Police Brutality 12years Of Being Bound to The wheel of a chair . Enough Is Enough #Endsars #Endswat .
