Over 70% of Nigerian homes do not have access to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG),says the Director, Department of Petroleum Resources, Sarki Auwalu.

He was speaking on Wednesday at the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit (NIPS) holding at the International Conference Center (ICC) Abuja.

According to Auwalu the launch of the Nigeria Gas Transportation Network Code (NGTNC) would help change the narrative as sustainable gas supply at an affordable price would now be accessible to every Nigerian.

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, launched the NGTNC on Monday, stating that it was meant to guarantee open access to participating in the business of developing and monetising Nigeria’s abundant gas reserves.
