720 Youths Commence 30-Day Prayer For Nigeria

No less than 720 Nigerian youths within the country and the Diaspora have commenced month-long prayers for the peace and prosperity of Nigeria.

Young Christians drawn from organizations such as the Nigeria Corpers Fellowship, Youth Reformers Network (YRN) and Watchmen and Intercessors Network Nigeria (WINN) are to pray from 1-30 November 2020, for good direction for the county’s leaders and the rise of youths who will form the bedrock of a new breed of effective and corruption-free leaders across the country.

Announcing the month long prayer which young people within and outside the country will be participating at press conference held at the Nehemiah Apostolic Prophetic Centre, Abuja on Wednesday, National Coordinator of YRN, Mr. Izuchukwu Samuel, said Nigerian youth must add prayer to their push for a better nation.

Responding to questions from journalists, Samuel expressed optimism that the 30-day prayer will have impact on Nigeria, even as he said young persons from other faiths, who wish to pray for progress and stability of the country can join- in wherever they are.

He said: “Recent happenings in the country, like actions taken against young protesters, the looting and destruction by persons parading as youths, yet have no interest in the demand for  a Nigeria where things work, calls for intense supplication to God.

“Ours is an initiative in which youths are praying to God to raise ethical leaders who are ready to be part of rebuilding Nigeria”.

“Pastor Obii Pax-Harry who God gave the vision for a 24-hour prayer for Nigeria which lasts for a month, better known as Arise Nigeria Project 720, said ‘every generation has its voice. Nigerian youths have proven that they have a voice. The voice of the younger generations, our youths must not be silenced’.

“Our prayer is a way of ensuring that the voice of the younger generation is not muffled”, Samuel further said.
