Ese was abducted on August 2015, from her Bayelsa home and taken to Kano for a forced marriage to one Yunusa, aka Yellow, who allegedly converted her to Islam.
According to Premium Times, Miss Oruru arrived the Nigeria Police Headquarters in Abuja at exactly 12.55 pm, dressed in a native attire and white hijab. She was accompanied into the complex by three unknown women.
She was immediately taken to the office of the Force Spokesperson, Bisi Kolawole, but then quickly taken away to another office.

Speaking to the waiting journalists, Mrs Kolawole said that the police was waiting for Miss Oruru’s parents who were on their way to Abuja from Bayelsa state, to arrive before giving a press conference.
