Abia Gov Announces Arrival Of Machines For Cottage Industries

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has announced the arrival of “machines” for the take-off of the pilot cottage industries in seven local governments of the State.

Gov Ikpeazu said the cottage industries would generate employment opportunities for youths in the state.

The governor, who made this known via his Twitter account on Tuesday, said the machines have arrived and the state was set to begin the test run.

According to the governor, the administration was excited about the opportunity the projects would create for youths in the state.

“Earlier in the year, we planned to set up one cottage industry in each of the 17 LGAs in Abia, starting with 7 as pilot LGAs.

” I’m glad to announce that containers of machines needed for the take-off of the industries have arrived.

“That’s jobs, jobs & more jobs for our youths,” Gov Ikpeazu stated.
