Abia Governor Flags Off Reconstruction Of Collapsed Bridge

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State paid a visit to the collapsed Ndi Ebe Abam Bridge in Arochukwu LGA of the state on Monday, to flag off the reconstruction of the bridge by the Boarder Community Development Agency under the Presidency.

The bridge which connects Ndi Ebe Abam and other neighboring communities collapsed since July of 2013, hence causing a lot of hardship to the people in the area who are mainly farmers.

The multi-million Naira project which crippled the socio-economic activities of the people in the state. was attracted by the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia federal Constituency, Hon Uko Nkole.

“The reconstruction of the 30 meters bridge forms part of my constituency project for 2017,” Hon Nkole said during the flag off of the project.

“The contract is domicilled in the Presidency under the auspices of Border Agency Development Authority awarded to Messers Gerald Frank Ltd.

“Today, I flagged off the reconstruction of Ndi Ebe Abam bridge as well, handed over the site to the contractor.

“I thank the Governor of Abia State Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for making out time to visit the project site with assurance of hope to my people.

“The project will be finished in record time by God’s grace,” Hon Nkole added.

Ikpeazu also reassured the people of governments’ continuous support and good governance delivery.
