Actor Francis Duru Loses 15-Year-Old Son Ifeanyi

Veteran Nollywood actor, Francis Duru, has lost his 15-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

Duru disclosed this in an emotional post on Instagram on Thursday, where he described Ifeanyi as a “champ” and a “lion” who fought till the end.

Duru wrote, “My champ! My lion, you fought like a lion. If this is the way He wants it, so be it, I still judge you faithful. Ifeanyi, my champ. I will miss you, son. I will forever love you. Rest in peace, son, rest. I give you thanks, Lord!”

Fans and colleagues of the actor have expressed shock at his bereavement, condoling with the actor and his family.

Duru celebrated Ifeanyi’s 15th birthday in December 2023.

Among the sympathizers is Okeybakassi who wrote, “Oh My God (OMG)! | was preparing to type HBD before I read the caption. This is painful. May God strengthen your family, and may his young soul rest in peace.”
