Actors Guild Moves To Provide Health Insurance For Members, Signs MoU With HMO

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Medicard Health Management, a health services provider, to stop the practice of soliciting funds for medical emergencies among its members.

The guild made the announcement on Tuesday in a statement via its official Instagram page.

It said that Medicard would, from August 17, be the approved official Health Maintenance Organisation (HMO) and Health Management Services Provider of the guild.

HMO is a medical insurance group that provides health services for a fixed annual fee.

Actors Guild of Nigeria achieved a historic milestone since its existence. We have graciously taken the welfare of our esteemed members high and above measure. With your support and the support of the Excos of the AGN, we have successfully signed an MOU with Medicard Health Management as the approved official HMO and Health Management Services Provider of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. We are able to achieve this milestone today because we believe that members of the AGN deserves the best.
