Senator representing Adamawa North in the senate, Elisha Abbo, may be among doubters of the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, going by the content of a post he made on his facebook page on Tuesday.
In the post, Abbo argued that COVID-19 is “largely politics and economic conduit pipe for money mongers.”
His post followed a trending video of a Nigerian-American doctor in the US, Stella Emmanuel, in which she alleged that contrary to medical reports, there is a cure for the deadly virus.

In the video which Abbo published alongside his post, doctor Emmanuel, speaking to journalists in company of other medical professionals, said people do not deserve to die from the disease, as there was a cure for it.
According to her, she had successfully treated 350 coronavirus patients with Hydroxychloroquine and Zitromax and no one has died in her clinic from the virus.
Abbo said “I told you few months ago that COVID – 19 is largely politics and economic conduit pipe for money mongers.
“Donald Trump also believed so. Today America has withdrawn her membership of the World Health Organization (WHO). The reasons are obvious.
“Few months ago, Chief Raymond Dokpesi came out of the COVID – 19 quarantine/treatment center and publicly said that he was treated with chloroquine.
“Few days later, the Presidential Task Force (PTF) threatened to sanction NIgerians that came out to reveal what they were treated with.”
He also tackled the government, saying “Governments should not be merchants of death.”
The senator further called on Nigerians to demand accountability from the country’s leadership.
“Let us all stand up and demand accountability from our leaders and stop economic marauders from evil profiteering for the sake of humanity.”
Nigeria, as at July 27th, has a total of 41,180 confirmed cases of the virus and 860 deaths, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
