Ahead of the quarter-final clash between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Bafana Bafana of South Africa tomorrow, Wednesday 10, at the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON 2019, an ex-international of the national team, Segun Odegbami, has expressed optimism that the Eagles would win the match.
Odegbemi who disclosed this while speaking to newsmen noted that for the eagles to scale the hurdle posed by the South African team, they need to remain focused.
He advised them to listen to the Coach, Gernot Rohr’s instruction.
“They should also listen to Gernot Rohr’s instructions so that they will have the desired result in the quarter-final,” he said.
The ex-international noted the Super Eagles had the support of Nigerians and that they (Nigerians) were praying for them to win the match against the South Africans.
The Eagles qualified for the quarter final of the tournament after they trashed title holder, Cameroon last Saturday in Alexandria, Egypt in the crucial group of 16 knockout stage by 3 goals to 2.
They won the 2013 AFCON title under the late coach of the team, Stephen Keshi.
