AFCON- Okoye, Osimhen In Starting Squad For Super Eagles

Ahead of todays crucial AFCON qualifier between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Leone Stars of Sierra at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin city, Edo state, the team list to start the game has been released.

This was disclosed on the Twitter handle of the Super Eagles on Friday, hours before the match.

In goal, Maduka Okoye was chosen ahead of Daniel Akpeyi and FC Lugano shot stopper, Sebastian Ogenna Osigwe.

The defense line comprises of , William Troost-Ekong, Leone Balogun, Kevin Akpoguma and Zaidu Sanusi.

Joe Aribo, Oghenekaro Etebo and Everton midfielder and Alex Iwobi are the trio to man the midfield.

Our wingers are the duo of Samuel Chukwueze and Captain Ahmed Musa and the striking duty was left for Victor Osimhen.
