AFCON: Pinnick Assures Super Eagles Win

The president of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Melvin Pinnick, has assured the nation of a flawless victory for the Super Eagles in their two- legged tie with the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

Pinnick disclosed this after inspecting the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin, Edo State on Monday.

Pinnick, in company with Edo state deputy governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, was satisfied with the facility and commended the Edo State government for a job well done on the magnificent edifice and assured Nigerians that the Super Eagles would comfortably beat their opponent’s home and away.

“This is a tremendous improvement from the last time I came. This is like what you see in other climes. So, I am very impressed with what I saw.

“I commend the governor and his team especially the deputy governor for ensuring that we have this world class facility that we are proud of.

” We will quietly beat them home and away.

“We have also made an arrangement for a chartered flight that will take the Super Eagles to Sierra Leone after the game.

“We will also bring in the Super Falcons, they are the most successful team in Africa because this is their home.”

The Super Eagles will square up against Leone Stars of Sierra Leone on the 13th and 17th of November at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin, Edo State and the National Stadium in Freetown, Sierra Leone respectively.
