AFCON Qualifier: From ‘Zero Expectations’ To ‘They Will Win’ Nigerians Predict Outcome Of Super Eagles Vs Leone Stars

Ahead of the crucial match between the Nigerian Super Eagles and their fellow West African counterpart, the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in an AFCON group L qualifier today at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown, a cross section of Nigerians have expressed mixed feelings about the possible outcome of the game today.

After a disappointing performance by the Eagles last Friday, which gave away a four-goal lead in the first leg at home to end with 4-4, some Nigerians are understandably pessimistic about today.

Anyanacho Elizabeth, a Nigerian Taekwondo National Champion and a continental medalist, said if the Super eagles wake up mentally, then have chances of winning the game.
