After 9 Years, Janet Jackson Makes 1st Onscreen Performance

Janet Jackson, an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress has given her first televised performance at the Billboard Music Awards after nine years of absenteeism from the music industry.

The ceremony held on Sunday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, hosted by Kelly Clarkson.

Jackson who performed at the event a trio of her songs, including “Nasty,” ”If” And “Throb,” was honored as the first black woman to receive the Billboard Icon Award.

The singer surfaces in a new style as she was surrounded by dozens of dancers and wearing gold thigh-high boots, she showed off her well-known dance skills to get the audience up on their feet.

Janet Jackson is a sister to late Michael Jackson. She has married three times. Her third husband is a Saudi Arabian man identified as Wissam Al Mana whom she split from after five years of marriage.
