Again, APC Postpones Lagos Guber Primary
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has again postponed its governorship primary in Lagos State.
The primary, which was earlier postponed to Monday, October 1, has now been moved to Tuesday, October 2.
According to a statement by the Acting National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena, the ruling party also postponed primaries in six other states.
The party also noted that the mode of primaries for Enugu and Adamawa states has also been changed from indirect to direct primaries.
According to Nabena, Enugu and Adamawa primary will now be held on October 4.
Other affected states are, Ogun, Zamfara, Bauchi and Abia.
The statement reads: “The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has rescheduled governorship primaries in Lagos, Enugu and Adamawa states.
“The mode of primaries for Enugu and Adamawa states has also been changed from INDIRECT to DIRECT Primaries.
“Lagos Governorship Primaries – Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
“Enugu and Adamawa Direct governorship Primaries – Thursday, October 4, 2018.”
In Lagos, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, is fighting for his political future in the state, after National leader of the APC and other big-wigs of the ruling party in the state, abandoned him.
His major opponent, Babajide Sanwo-olu, is the preferred candidate of Tinubu.
