Ahmed Musa: Player Wants Arsenal Move

Super Eagles skipper, Ahmed Musa, has admitted he would love a move to English premier league side, Arsenal.

The 23-year-old, who was a subject of interest from Leicester City in the January transfer window has now opted for title rivals Arsenal.

The CSKA Moscow talisman revealed he has been a strong supporter of Arsene Wenger’s side from his childhood and adores one of the London club’s legends, Nwankwo Kanu.

Kanu, who was also a Super Eagles captain played 197 games for Arsenal, scoring 44 goals.

Musa also admitted that Leicester City tried to prise him away from his Russian club.

“What club? I do not care!” he told Championat when asked about interest from other clubs.

“But Musa has to play, you know. I cannot sit on the bench. So I will have to go to the Premier League club that will believe in me.

“I would be happy if I was wanted by Arsenal. I have supported the team since the age of six. Nwankwo Kanu has been my idol since childhood. It will be fantastic to play for Arsenal.

“I will not hide it – Leicester actually came to our club. But I repeat that I want to finish the season with CSKA to help them to win a championship, and then think about changing team.”

Musa has played all 18 league matches for CSKA Moscow this season, the winger was the hero in the Moscow derby as he scored the only goal in CSKA’s 1-0 win against Spartak Moscow in the Russian league on Sunday.

Arsenal, who are currently short of a firepower in attack, are yet to make a move for the Nigerian star.
