Ahmed Musa Returns To CSKA Moscow, After Leicester City Flop

Nigeria winger Ahmed Musa has joined Russian club CSKA Moscow on loan from Leicester City for the rest of the 2017/2018 season.

The club announced the return of the 25-year-old Forward on its website on Tuesday.

“PFC CSKA and Leicester City agreed on the loan of Ahmed Musa today until the end of 2017/18 season.”

“Ahmed will be included in the Red-Blues’ squadlist for the national league and the UEFA Europa League knockout stage.”

“Welcome back, Ahmed!,” said the club.

Musa scored only two Premier League goals in his two years stay at the Foxes despite costing the club a record fee £16M in July 2016.

The Super Eagles star failed to make a single appearance in the Premier League for the Leicester this season and was restricted to one appearance in the Carabao Cup.

“I have passed the medical successfully and now I am a PFC CSKA player” Musa told club’s official website, after sealing deal.

“I am very happy and proud to be back”.

“This is truly my home, champion team that fights for the top awards and occupies highest places.”

“I am back to red-blue family! I promise that I will give everything for this club in order to make PFC CSKA champion again. I will work very hard,” Musa concluded.
