Aisha Alhassan Commended For Telling ‘Incompetent’ Buhari The Bitter Truth

Following her disapproval of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, Aisha Alhassan has received commendation for telling the president “the bitter truth”.

THE WHISTLER recalls that Alhassan, who is Nigeria’s current Minister of Women’s Affairs, had told Reuters and gone on BBC to air her dissatisfaction with the administration of President Buhari.

“If today Mr. President says he is running in 2019 I will go to him respectfully and thank him for giving me an opportunity to serve and then tell him that I have to resign because my political father may be running,” she had told Reuters.

In reaction to this, Reno Omokri, the former Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, lauded the minister for being bold enough to tell her principal the truth.

“Aisha Alhassan, is my new favourite person! The Dora Akunyili of 2017 telling an inept President the bitter truth,” said Omokri.

“By openly telling President Muhammadu Buhari on BBC that “if Baba said he is going to contest in 2019, I swear to Allah, I will go before him and kneel and tell him that ‘Baba I am grateful for the opportunity you gave me to serve your government as a minister but Baba just like you know I will support only Atiku Abubakar because he is my godfather. If Atiku says he is going to contest”.

“She is actually telling him ‘Go. You have done enough damage!’ Your own wife publicly rejected you for 2019. Your own Minister publicly rejects you.

“Your greatest sycophant Nasir El-Rufai publicly rejected you in a memo saying you’ve failed and you are still there cancelling FEC meetings as if it is an ordinary appointment! ‪Same way his closest aides rejected him in 1985 is same way his closest confidants are rejecting him in 2017.

“His wife, Minister and his sycophant! I believe the last straw for Aisha, his wife’s namesake, was cancelling FEC in the midst of unprecedented national calamities because of ‘extended holiday,” he said in a Facebook post.
