Akeredolu Hails “Impeccable” Mimiko, Says His Achievements Are Inspiring

Ondo state governor-elect, Mr. Oluwa Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has commended outgoing governor, Olusegun Mimiko, when the two met on Wednesday for the first time since the September 26 election.

Akeredolu said it will take hard work to surpass the track records of Mimiko, who has dedicated many years in public service as commissioner, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Minister and governor.

The governor-elect said this during a courtesy visit to Mimiko at the Alagbaka Government House, Akure, the Ondo State capital.

He said he and the Ondo people owe the governor depth of gratitude for the “exemplary leadership qualities” he displayed in various capacities while he served.

Mimiko on his part said he had put in place a “seamless” transition to usher in a new government, as he emphasized on the need to sustain peace in the state.

He described the peace in Ondo as one of the greatest accomplishments of his government.

The governor assured Akeredolu of his support to ensure he succeeds in the task of governing the state.

Akeredolu will on February 24, 2017 be sworn-in as the sixth civilian governor of the state.
