Nigeria Premier League side, Akwa United, has suspended technical adviser Maurice Cooreman, indefinitely.
The decision was taken following the Uyo club’s 1-0 home loss to Enyimba on Sunday, at Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
The defeat brings to two Akwa United’s home defeats so far this season.
According to a letter signed by the club’s chairman, Paul Bassey, the suspension took effect from Monday, April 25, 2016 with his assistant Ere Dokubo asked to take charge of the team.
“Yes, I can confirm that,” Bassey, a veteran journalist and FIFA/CAF Match Commissioner, said. “He was asked to step aside for now.”
Dokubo and his assistants have been handed a three-game ultimatum to get the results or face the music.
