Alleged Misgovernance: I’ll Reply Akeredolu When Campaign Starts, Says Mimiko

A former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, has said he will react to the allegtaions of bad governance leveled against him by his successor, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, when electioneering starts.

The governor said this when he hosted the Deputy Governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi, at his residence in Ondo city

Ajayi had last week defected to the Zenith Labour Party to.contest the governorship election . Mimiko is the leader of the ZLP in Ondo State.

Akeredolu has recently described Mimiko’s administration a disgrace to governance and disservice to the people because of the number of uncompleted projects by his administration.

But Mimiko said the time to compare his government with his successor’s has not come

He said, ” The time to reply him ( Akeredolu) would be when electioneering begins”

He said any party or government that would not meet the need of the masses at the point of their yearnings could not be called progressive.

According to him, the ZLP is the only party that loves helping the poor to achieve their dreams.

The deputy governor hailed Mimiko who he described as a popular politician and a compassionate leader.

He said no true progressive politician would be comfortable with the way the current administration was running the state.
