However, Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau is conspicuously absent.

The interior minister is currently in the eye of the storm after his office allegedly facilitated the reinstatement and promotion of former head of the Presidential Task Force on Pensions Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina.

Mr. Maina is on the wanted list of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N100 billion pension fraud.

He was said to have been dismissed from the Federal Civil Service for abandoning his duty post and evading arrest.

Despite the mind-blogging allegations, the former pension boss was last week appointed into the Ministry of Interior as a Director.

Dambazzau has been fingered in the controversy, and his absence at today’s FEC Meeting may not be unconnected to it.

The FEC meeting was put off on Wednesday, October 25th and rescheduled for Thursday, October 26th on the orders of President Buhari.
