The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, candidate in the ongoing Anambra Governorship election, Mr Charles Soludo, has extended his lead from five to seven as results from two more local governments came in.
Voting is continuing on Sunday (today) as voters are out to complete the exercise following mechanical glitches and late arrival of INEC officials and materials as well as pockets of ballot box snatching.
With the seven local governments turned in, Soludo has taken a commanding lead in all the seven LGAs.
He has won Njikoka, Anambra East, Onitsha South, Anaocha, Awka South and Orumba South.
The APGA candidate also defeated Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to win Aguata LGA.
The three frontrunners in the Anambra governorship election are from Aguata.
