Speaking to the aspirants on Thursday, Adamu Maina Waziri, Chairman of the screening committee, said the party has “everything to lose” if the state is won by a rival party on November 18.

“Each one of us has everything to lose if we lose Anambra State,” he said in his opening remarks, while promising that the screening committee would do its job fairly and justly.

Waziri said that as part of the PDP constitution, the N6 million fee for the collection of nomination and expression of interest form for women aspirants was waived as a way of encouraging the female folk to take active interest in partisan politics.

She told newsmen that the screening committee had received a petition against one of the aspirants, but however refused to reveal the identity of the aspirant.
