Angry workers on Monday at the Eagle Square in Abuja, booed the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige while he tried to address them.

Ngige had asked the Labour Ministry’s Acting Permanent Secretary, Mrs Biola Bawa, to address the workers in his capacity while he (Ngige) represented President Muhhammadu Buhari during the Workers’ Day celebration.

But the workers rejected the Permanent Secretary and disrupted the May Day celebration for minutes.

Meanwhile, former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has flayed President Muhammadu Buhari for his failure to address workers as they mark the occasion.

“In the entire history of our country there has never been a May Day in which our President did not address the workers. Where is @MBuhari?” said Fani-Kayode in a tweet.
