Another Nigerian Player Dies In Auto Crash

The Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, has been thrown into yet another mourning as Niger Tornadoes defender, Hussaini Isiah lost his life in a ghastly motor accident.

Isiah died on Monday in a motorcycle accident along Maitumbi Road, Minna, Niger State

Niger Tornadoes in a statement on its Twitter handle confirmed the death of the left-back, who was named man of the match in Niger Tornadoes’ 1-1 draw against Kwara United in the NPFL match day 21 encounter on Sunday at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, Minna.

“With sorrowful heart, we painfully announce the sudden exit of our dedicated and humble defender Hussaini Isah, who lost his life this Monday evening,” the club said.

“The defender who just returned to the team after a match suspension due to yellow card accumulation was hit by a reckless motorcycle rider popularly called Okada along Maitumbi road, Minna, Niger State,” the club added.

“We are truly shocked and saddened by the death of Hussaini Isiah, Niger Tornadoes defender.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, Niger Tornadoes and the entire Nigerian football family,” the League management said in a statement on Tuesday.

Recall that few months ago, former Enyimba skipper Chinedu Udoji died in a ghastly auto crash.
