APC Caretaker Chairman Buni Visits Tinubu In Lagos

Supporters of Mr Bola Tinubu have welcome as a positive move the visit of the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Mai Mala Buni, to Mr Tinubu’s home in Lagos.

Buni, who doubles as the Governor of Yobe State, joins dozens of politicians who have visited the party’s national leader in recent months, especially during his medical trip to London.

A picture posted by a Facebook user, Tinubu Support Group -TSG, featured Bola Tinubu and the Yobe State governor.

The picture was captioned, “Mai Mala at Bourdillon too #asiwaju4president2023.”

TSG and other supporters declared it’s the right thing to do and a visit well-intentioned.

The supporters of the former governor of Lagos have made huge meal of the visit by sharing the picture on social media.

Mr Buni joined Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu; his Ekiti and Kano State counterparts, Kayode Fayemi and Umar Ganduje, who have visited Tinubu, though the other governors visited him in London.

Ganduje had visited Tinubu alongside his wife, Hafsat Ganduje; their son, Umar Ganduje; three lawmakers, as well as four other members of the Ganduje family.

Also, the House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila; ex-Governor of Ogun State and current Senator representing Ogun Central, Ibikunle Amosun; former Governor of Borno State and current Senator representing Borno Central, Kashim Shettima; and member representing Gubio, Kaga and Magumeri Federal Constituency of Borno State, Usman Zanna all went to see the man popularly called the Lion of Bourdillon while recuperating in London.

Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat; Chief of Staff to Lagos State Governor, Tayo Ayinde; Deputy Chief of Staff to Lagos State governor, Gboyega Soyannwo; Special Adviser to Lagos State governor on Education, Tokunbo Wahab; former APC National Legal Adviser, Muiz Banire also visited.

Similarly, Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, Temitope Adewale; Chairman of the House Committee on Physical Planning and Urban Development, Nureni Akinsanya; as well as Chairman of the House Committee on Overseas Investments and Sustainable Development Goals, Sylvester Ogunkelu also paid a visit to Tinubu.

The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Adetokunbo Abiru; Senator Adeola Solomon from Lagos West; Senator Opeyemi Bamidele from Ekiti Central; Senator Adelere Oriolowo from Osun West; and Senator Mohammed Sanni from Niger East also visited the ex-Lagos governor in London.

Tinubu has been scheming to replace Buhari in 2023 with bourgeoning support groups calling for him to declare interest.

The Vice President, Mr Yemi Osinbajo, a political protege of Tinubu, is also eying the presidential Ticket on the platform of the party.
