APC Celebrates Buhari Aide’s Defeat In Court

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Ekiti State chapter, has celebrated its defeat of President Muhammadu Buhari’s adviser on political matters, Babafemi Ojodu, in a suit the latter filed against it before the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Ojodu, a chieftain of the APC, and other members of the party in the state, had approached the court to challenge the constitution of the Ekiti APC executive committee.

The court was said to have, however, dismissed the suit for lacking in merit.

Reacting, the Ekiti APC spokesperson, Ade Ajayi, said the judgement had settled the crisis rocking the party in the state.

“While the decision of the Federal High Court vindicates our stand that our Exco has always been overboard in all our dealings in the past, we shall remain committed in our determination to continue to rule Ekiti state.

“We remain a family and indivisible one, a sign for the opposition to continue to remain dormant and lick its wounds forever in Ekiti politics,” said Ajayi.

THE WHISTLER recalls that Ojodu and 10 other members of the Ekiti APC were said to have been suspended for alleged anti-party activities.
