The National Working Committee (NWC), leadership, members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have described the national Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiohmole, as a leader, who has strengthened democratic structures and participatory politics with utmost fidelity to the best practices and constitution of the party.
The party, which stated this on Friday in a congratulatory message on the occasion of Oshiohmole’s 68th birthday celebration, noted that the celebrant had demonstrated doggedness, steadfastness and pro-masses disposition in his actions and utterances in his entire public service career.
A statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Lanre Issa-Onilu, recalled that during his time as National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Oshiomhole fought for and defended the interests of Nigerian workers and the masses with an uncommon commitment.

Also, the statement recalled his services to the people of Edo State as governor, noting that Oshiomhole demonstrated that public service could only be meaningful if it was deployed for the benefit of the people.
“The party acknowledges with pride the energy and commitment with which Comrade Oshiomhole has been propagating the mantra of “One Man, One Vote”, even before joining party politics,” the statement read in part.
“And in his current assignment as the National Chairman of our great party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, aside working assiduously with other party members to ensure the renewal of our presidential mandate in the 2019 elections, is doing all it takes to strengthen democratic structures and participatory politics with utmost fidelity to the best practices and our party’s constitution.
“It is on record how the National Chairman effectively mobilised leaders, members and apparatus of our great party to ensure the emergence of the current leadership of the National Assembly, a development which, in no small measures, has smoothened the engagement between the executive and legislative arms and enhance governance processes.
“While wishing our Comrade Chairman many more years of exemplary service to our party and our nation, we wish him a happy birthday and many happy returns,” the statement concluded.
