APC Extends Deadline For Sale, Submission Of Nomination Forms

The All Progressives Congress has announced the extension of the deadline for the sale and submission of nomination forms for the 2019 elections.

This was contained in a statement signed by the acting National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena, in Abuja, on Friday.

According to Nebena, the new deadline for the sale and submission of the presidential, governorship, National Assembly and House of Assembly forms of the ruling party is now Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

“All aspirants for the listed positions are to submit their duly completed forms to the APC National Secretariat and the Party’s State Secretariat in the case of House of Assembly on or before the close of work of the new deadline,” he said.

The previous deadline was September 10, 2018.

Last Tuesday, APC commenced the sale of the expression of interest and Presidential nomination forms for the 2019 elections.

It pegged the nomination fee for aspirants interested in the office of president at N45 million.

The party had earlier fixed the fee at N55 million, but the cost had drawn condemnation from party members who felt the price was exorbitant as compared to the price in 2014, which was N27 million.

Only President Muhammadu Buhari has so far being able to secure the Presidential nomination forms.
