APC Staff Finally Gain Entry To Secretariat

Staff of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were on Monday granted access into their offices at the party’s secretariat in Abuja by security operatives, who had sealed off the party.

The staff, who had been shut out of the secretariat since Thursday were given a tag, specially made by the party as a means of identification before being allowed into the secretariat.

Journalists, accredited by the party were also allowed access in the party, only with a tag.

The secretariat has been under lockdown by heavily armed detachment of police officers since Wednesday last week following an FCT High Court judgment suspending its National Chairman, Adams Oshiohmole.

THE WHISTLER observed that the secretariat gate is still shut to visitors, with minimal activities going on.

Acting National Secretary of the party, Victor Giadom was also at the secretariat. He drove into the premises of the party at about 10:54am.

A staff of the party, who preferred anonymity, claimed the essence of giving the tags to staff and journalists, was for the party to be sure of the identity of those, to be allowed into the secretariat since the party was still in crisis following the court judgement.
