APC’s Change Only In Tongue, Not From Heart – Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani, Senator representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, has reacted to the ward congresses of the All Progressives Congress across the country.

APC held its congresses across the 36 states of the country and Abuja on Saturday.

The congresses were marred with violence and protests, with some states recording casualties.

Sani, in a tweet via his official Twitter handle on Wednesday, said the exercise which was expected to show internal democracy ended up revealing internal tyranny and chaos.

“The Ward congresses was meant to show internal democracy, it ended up revealing internal tyranny and internal chaos, presided over by people with the faces of Lincoln but the Heart of Mussolini. Their tongue is change, their heart is unchanged,” Sani wrote.

On Monday, the Chairman of the APC Wards and Local Governments Congresses Committee for the state, Adamu Modibbo, said the committee was satisfied with the conduct of the ward congresses in spite of protests against the exercise.

Mr Modibbo told journalists in Kaduna that the exercise was conducted “peacefully in well organised manner without any incident recorded throughout the state.”

However, Sani and Suleiman Hunkuyi (APC Kaduna North) had separately told journalists that the congresses did not hold in any part of the state.
