APC’s Mai Mala Buni Wins Yobe Governorship

The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Mai Mala Buni has been declared winner of the governorship election in Yobe state.

Buni, who polled 444,013 votes, defeated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Umar Bello Iliya who got 95,703 votes.

The returning officer, Abubakar Gundiri, who announced the results said that the election was successfully conducted in all the 17 Local Government councils of the state.

Mala Buni’s win means he will succeeding present governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, as the next governor of the state.
