Apple Unveils New IPhone, IPad And More

Apple on Monday unveiled a new range of devices into its market.

The announcement, which was made during the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco, California, clarified just about everything the company has been working on for the last few months.

As rumoured for months, the company rolled-out the iPhone SE, packed with the power of the iPhone 6s into a smaller form factor more like the older iPhones.

The new device comes with LTE, Wi-Fi Calling, 4k and 240 fps slo-mo video recording, live photo support, Apple Pay, all running on a 64-bit A9 chip.

The 16GB model will go for $399, the cheapest price an iPhone has ever launched at. A 64GB model will run $499.

The SE goes up for pre-order on March 24th, with the first units shipping on March 31st.

Apple showed the first footage of Liam – a robot that was built specifically for dissembling iPhones to their smallest components, for recycling and refurbishing.

Apple’s TV tvOS got a new update, bringing support to folders, voice dictation support, which includes typing username and passwords, and live photos.

The company also outlined some of the features of the new iOS 9.3.

The new update shifts the device’s display from blue to orange in the evening, which suggest can help make sleep better. Users will also be able to lock down the Notes app with your password/fingerprint.

The CarPlay feature got better Apple Music and Maps apps.

A new 9.7-inch iPad Pro, which is roughly the same size as the iPad Air 2, has also being unveiled, with support for things like Apple Pencil, Apple’s Smart Keyboard, 4K video recording, and more.

In what the company claimed was the “greatest iPad upgrade ever,” the new device have a pressure-sensitive display and four corner-mounted speakers, as does the larger iPad Pro which went on sale last November.

Prices start at $599 for 32Gb and $749 for 128GB.

Basic features:
– The screen on the iPad Pro is 40% less reflective than that of the iPad Air 2, but also 25% brighter.

– It has 4 ambient light sensors for a feature called “True Tone” that will constantly check the lighting of your room and adjust accordingly for color accuracy. That’s particularly great for designers.

– A 32GB model will set you back $599, 128GB will go for $749, while the brand new 256GB model will go for $899. Pre-orders start on March 24th, and will ship on March 31st.

The new iPad Pro will come in gold, silver, space grey and rose gold, for the first time.

Apple is set to meet the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI in a federal court tomorrow, as it continues to fight a judge ruling for the company to aid the bureau in creating a ‘backdoor’ into an iPhone used by Syed Rizwan Farook, who killed 14 people in the San Bernardino shooting last December.
