Arik Air Operations in Lagos Shut Down By Workers ‌

Workers have paralysed the operations of Arik Air in Lagos over alleged non-payment of staff salaries since April.

The workers’ unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees and Air Transport Senior Staff Services Association of Nigeria.

The angry workers shut down the airline’s operations claiming that the non-payment started after the company placed 90 per cent of the workforce on compulsory leave.

They also accused the airline of many “anti-labour practices.”
