Armed Men Kill 7 Police Officers In Abuja

No fewer than seven police officers have been confirmed dead after they were attacked by unknown gunmen in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

The incident reportedly occurred at Galadimawa Junction, just off the international airport road.

The seven police officers were said to be on patrol along the Nnamdi Azikiwe Express Way, when they were shot.

FTC police commissioner, Sadiq Bello, who confirmed the report, said the incident occurred on Monday night.

Bello further stated that the Command would soon issue a statement on the incident.

It was learnt that the bodies of the slain cops were later evacuated from the scene in a police van.
