Army Arrests IPOB Logistics Supplier With Wanted Commander’s Children In Abia
The Nigerian Army has apprehended an alleged female logistics supplier of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.
The suspect whose name was withheld by the Army, was arrested on October 13, over her role as a logistics supplier for the outlawed group.
Troops of Operation UDO KA arrested the suspect with three children.
“During the arrest, 3 children whose investigation revealed were biological children to a wanted IPOB/ESN leader identified as Maduabuchi Nwankwo otherwise known as Emergency were found in her custody,” the military said during a Thursday briefing with the press.
The military said the suspect and the terrorist were relatives.
The military further recalled the Army’s operations in Owerri West and Mbaitoli LGAs of Imo State as well as Izzi and Ohaukwu LGAs of Ebonyi State between October 8 and 13.

It stated how Troops of Operation UDO KA arrested a suspected IPOB/ESN terrorist commander identified as Gentle who was on the troops’ wanted list alongside 8 other criminals in Imo and Ebonyi States.
Meanwhile, in the nation’s oil-producing region, troops of Operation DELTA SAFE recovered over N98.7m from oil thieves.
The military said the troops recovered 92,500 litres of stolen crude oil, 1,575 litres of AGO, 660 litres of DPK and 5,000 litres of PMS.
They also discovered and destroyed 11 crude oil cooking ovens, seven dugout pits, 9 boats, 14 storage tanks and seven illegal refining sites.
The troops further arrested 13 oil thieves.

Also, between October 9 and 12, the troops conducted an offensive operation in Ethiope East, Ughelli South, Ndokwa, Okpe and Warri LGAs of Delta State.
The military said it also conducted similar operations in Ahoada East and Toru LGAs of Rivers State.
“During the operations, 9 criminals were arrested. Some weapons and ammunition as well as a vehicle were recovered from them,” the military added.
