Army Arrests ‘Wanted’ Boko Haram Chief Driver, 9 Others

The Nigerian Army (NA) has recorded another feat in the fight against insurgency following the arrest of 10 Boko Haram members in Pulka, Borno State.

The troops in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force made the arrest during the clearance operations on October 9.

According to a statement on the Facebook page of the army, one of the arrested terrorists, Bukar Modu alias Modu China (Chief Driver) was declared wanted on Serial 89 of NA wanted list.

The latest arrest comes on the heels of an earlier arrest last month of a middle-aged man, Samuel Chikwedum by the army’s counter-insurgency Operation Lafiya Dole Theatre Command for been an alleged supplier of logistics for Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.

Four others were also arrested in the state by the troops for similar offence.

Chikwedum was caught by army operatives while travelling to Baga town, heading towards the Lake Chad region with contraband goods.

After he was paraded before journalists, his goods and vehicle were destroyed.
