Atiku ‘Narrowly’ Escapes Defeat In Home-State, Adamawa
Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has narrowly escaped being defeated by President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in his home state, Adamawa.
While Atiku polled 410,266, the APC got 378,078 votes, leaving a difference of 32,188 between the two candidates.
Out of the eighteen states announced so far, the PDP had won seven (7) states and the FCT (Ondo, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra, Oyo and Adamawa), while the APC has won ten (10) states (Osun, Ekiti, Kwara, Nasarawa, Kogi, Gombe, Yobe, Niger, Jigawa and Kaduna)
