Baby Goes Missing Hours After Delivery

It was rather a pathetic delivery journey for a woman identified as Joy Idah Mudi when her newborn baby went missing few hours after delivery in Peniel Maternity and Clinic, in Anyigba, Dekina LGA, Kogi State.

This was disclosed by Fitumi, a relative to the baby’s father, who stated that the newborn which was under the care of the nurse on duty before the sudden disappearance of the child, was delivered early hours on Sunday.

Upon interrogation, the nurse could not explain what happened to the baby as she was taken to Anyigba Police station for further investigation.

On hearing the news, members of the community gathered at Anyigba Police Station demanding the transfer of the maternity nurse to the vigilante officials for torturing.

Meanwhile, the confused mother disclosed that she never saw the result of her application after 9 months (baby) before she went missing due to the improper arrangement of the maternity, as she was put in a separate ward from her daughter before she heard the shocking news.
