Bandits Kill Retired Air Force Officer In Kaduna

Suspected bandits have killed Air Vice-Marshal Muhammad Maisaka (retired) at his residence in Ragasi, Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

Maisaka served as the director of medical training operations at the Defence Headquarters before his retirement.

His murder was confirmed on Tuesday by the Kaduna State Police Command’s spokesperson, ASP Muhammad Jalige.

Jalige said the retired officer’s gatekeeper was injured during the attack that took place in the early hours of Tuesday.

“The corpse has been evacuated to the hospital and the gateman has also been rushed to the hospital for treatment” he told journalists.

Jalige added that the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Mudassiru Abdullah, has directed the Divisional Police Officer and the Area Commander in charge of the area to visit the scene.

The former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani, while confirming the incident in a tweet on Tuesday, said Maisaka was the Managing Director of MSK Specialist Hospital located in the Rigyasa area of the state.

“Earlier today, AVM Mohammed Maisaka, proprietor and MD MSK Hospital, shot dead at his residence along Makarfi road, Rigasa ward within kaduna,” Shehu tweeted.
